Ethiopia Mission Trip

In a population of 75 million, Ethiopia has 4.4 million orphans—one of the largest populations in the world! And because of the challenges of famine and desease, one in six Ethiopian children die before their fifth birthday.

The Ministry

You and your team will work alongside local Christians and NGO’s in Addis Ababa and the surrounding communities. You will use drama, dance, and puppets to reach out through public performances, which will draw a crowd so you and your team-mates can share about your faith in Christ. You will work amongst the poor and the orphans in an area that desperately needs the hope of the gospel.

Adventure

There’s just too much to do! You can explore Addis Ababa (elevation 7,622 ft.) and see St. George’s Cathedral or the Mercato (the largest outdoor market in Africa). Outside the city there’s the Blue Nile Falls, the rock hewn churches in Laibela, the ancient monasteries at Lake Tana and a whole lot more.

Spiritual Growth

Jesus said if you want to be considered great in God’s kingdom, you need to learn to be a servant. Your service in Ethiopia will be part of the training God uses to grow you into being a Kingdom leader. It’s going to give you a new perspective as you begin to see life and ministry from God’s point of view!

New Friends

Your teammates will come from across North America. Ministering in tough conditions will bring you close together. You will learn how to rely on one another and will cement lasting friendships. You will do things together that you did not think you could do and then laugh about it that night. You will learn about each other and pray for one another with care and compassion. You will go home feeling like more than friends. You will leave feeling like family-guaranteed!
